Parkside Dental - Meet the Team

Dr. Lowell L. Cheney

After several years of schooling and obtaining a Masters Degree in Hibernation Physiology, I taught briefly at the University level. I discovered an interest in dentistry and pursued that course of study graduating from Washington University School of Dental Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri with a DMD in 1975. An Air Force scholarship required me to serve as an active duty dentist for three years. That commitment brought us to Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota. Because my wife and I fell in love with the area, we decided to stay and rear our family here. Upon fulfilling my commitment with the Air Force we opened a Dental practice in 1978. We are blessed with five children, four daughters and one son. They have all married and are currently raising our 23 grandchildren. What fun we have when we all get together. When I am not at the office, I like to hunt, fish and visit the grandchildren as well as participate in church service.

I care about the dental health of our patients and strive to help them feel comfortable during treatment. I desire them to be able to leave the office feeling good about the care they have received. I am excited about the new technology that can be found in the dental field and the many things that we can do to improve dental health.
Dr. Nathan Deeter

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce Dr. Nathan Deeter, who is joining our practice. Dr. Deeter is from Bismarck and is a graduate of the University of Minnesota. I want to be very certain that my patients receive the best possible care, and I have carefully considered a number of individuals who were interested in joining our practice. I believe that Dr. Deeter possesses the highest qualifications and will bring a wealth of valuable experience and excellence.

Dr. Deeter is married to Jeny and has two daughters, Braelyn and Rylie. They are residing in the Minot area and are looking forward to becoming active members of our community.

I want to personally thank you for your trust and confidence in permitting me to take care of your dental needs, and I look forward to continuing to do so for several years to come. We will be extending our hours to better accommodate you and your friends that you have so graciously referred to our office. This is a very positive addition to our practice and I believe it will be a great benefit to all of my patients.

I hope you will join us in welcoming Dr. Deeter to our practice. Thank you again for your loyalty and confidence. We look forward to seeing you in the near future.

Receptionist - Shaun

I’m Shaun. With Shelley’s help I have taken over the front desk here at Parkside Dental. (Thank goodness Shelley is still here on Tuesdays!) I am married to my wonderful husband, Jamie. We have 1 daughter and two sons. In our spare time we spend time with the kids and love to fish and hunt.

Shelley

I’m still here, just part time and will continue to help you when you come into the office. I’ve taken a full time position on our family farm as "go fer". When time permits I love to garden, quilt and rubber stamp.

Hygienist - Jennifer

Hi, my name is Jennifer and I've been the Registered Dental Hygienist here at Parkside Dental since January 2006. I am concerned about your dental health and will help keep you smiling. When I am not at the office I enjoy spending time with my two nieces or watching the Greenbay Packers with my family. You can also catch me at the YMCA when I find time to go.

Assistant - Ellen

Hi, I'm Ellen, Dr. Cheney's assistant of ten years and counting. It has been my pleasure to get to know our patients, their families and share their lives while accomplishing their dental needs. Away from the office I ride my horse, scrapbook and enjoy my grandchildren.

Assistant - Fallon

I’m Fallon, Dr. Cheney’s chair side assistant since January 2008. I have two daughters, Kelsy and Madison. We enjoy spending time together shopping and socializing with friends.

Office Manager - GeNeil

Hi, I'm GeNeil and I have been working with Dr. Cheney for thirty years in the office. I do all the necessary work for the financial end of the business. Dr. Cheney and I have been working together in life for over 40 years and enjoy our family of five children and their spouses and our 23 grandchildren. I volunteer in the American Mothers, Inc organization and was named the North Dakota 2005 Mother of the Year.
