At Parkside Family Dentistry, we understand that dental emergencies and injuries can happen at any time. That is why our office provides 24/7 emergency dentistry to all our patients in Bridgewater. If you or your child experience a dental emergency or injury, one of our dentists is on call to care for your family when you need it the most.

If you or your child is experiencing pain, swelling or other signs a dental emergency, call our office right away. Common dental emergencies and injuries include:

  • Severe toothache
  • Swelling in the face or jaw
  • Cracked or broken teeth
  • Loosened or misaligned teeth
  • Knocked out teeth
  • Swollen or bleeding mouth tissue
  • Swelling or bleeding around a tooth socket
  • Gum or tooth abscesses
  • Pain when you bite down or chew
  • Cuts or tears in the lips, cheeks or tongue

Our staff can recommend ways to alleviate pain, swelling or bleeding until your appointment. If your tooth is knocked out, we can tell you how to prepare it so we can attempt to save and reattach the tooth. We will always try to save knocked out or loosened teeth in child and adult patients whenever we can.

You should never try to treat a dental emergency on your own. Over-the-counter or topical painkillers, warm compresses and other at-home treatments can provide temporary relief but will not address the underlying cause. Only a trained dental professional can give you the emergency dentistry you need.

Sometimes it can be difficult to know whether you need emergency care. What may seem like a minor inconvenience can cause more painful and expensive issues later if left untreated. If you experience a problem with dental repair work or dental prosthetic, be sure to call us right away to schedule an appointment. This can include:

  • A loose or missing filling
  • A loose or broken crown
  • A loose or broken dental bridge
  • A cracked or broken denture

Today was my little girl's first visit to the dentist...and everyone we worked with at this office was super friendly, professional, and fun to be around. Happy that our family seems to have found a wonderful dental practice.

I visited Parkside on two occasions. First, I’ll say, that I have always had severe anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist. The second visit was to have my tooth removed, of which I was really anxious about. Both the hygienists and Dr. Sadoon were great and quickly put my mind at ease! I would recommend Parkside to anyone I know, that needs any dental work done or just for yearly cleanings.
